September's Contractor of the Month
Stan WisniewskiSeptember's nomination for Mercer's Contractor of the Month is Trey (Stan) Wisniewski. Trey is being recognized for his professionalism, diligence and willingness to help out fellow Mercer contractors.
Trey's coordinator, Martin Keene, has enjoyed working with him since he leased on last year. "Stan is a very good businessman. He's always respectful and he is one of the hardest workers I know," says Keene.
Since Trey joined Mercer, he has been spotted helping other drivers tarp and tie down loads, fix oil leaks and even offer to deliver a load for a stranded truck.
Last July, Mercer received a letter from Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, commending Trey on his good will and cooperation:
To whom it may concern,
Paul Williamson (9983A) was held up at Naval Weapons Station Charleston Security for hours while getting an approval to enter due to his status as a foreign national. That has been resolved.
I wanted to pass on the kindness of Stan Wisniewski (9870A). Upon hearing of Mr Williamson's problem, Stan Wisniewski immediately offered to go off base and get Mr Williamson's trailer and have it loaded.
Stan Wisniewski's eagerness to help a fellow driver is a credit to Mercer Transportation. I wish to pass on my appreciation.
Kind regards,
Hanna Monogan
Transportation Agent

Trey doesn't mind lending a hand every once in a while. He says, "I like to help others out when I can. If I see other Mercer drivers loading, I'll stay and help them tie down or tarp and then we'll run together for a while. I may not know them, but I believe in the idea of 'if you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.' As owner operators, things are tough in our industry right now, and I don't mind going out of my way if it means someone may be able to save a buck or two."
Although Trey has only been a part of the Mercer team for a little over a year, he is happy to have found a home here. "I really like Mercer and the other drivers here. It is nice having Mercer there to back me up."
