May '09 SUYT Winners

This month's Showusyourtruck.com's Mercer winner is Curtis and Donna O'Farrell's Kenworth, "Miss Maggie May". In the "Best of the Rest" category, Charles Gale won with his beautiful "Old School" Freightliner cabover.

The O'Farrell's "Miss Maggie May" will be on display at the Walcott Truckers Jamboree, July 9-10, 2009

The O'Farrell's "Miss Maggie May" is a 2000 W900L Kenworth. The truck is powered by a 525 N14 Cummins engine with a 13 speed Eaton Fuller Transmission with 370 rear end. The O'Farrells, a husband-and-wife team from Texas, love their home sweet home on the road.  The cab is a nice comfy retreat while they are out keeping busy hauling freight across the USA. The truck itself has a whopping 1,332,347 miles on it. In 2007, they replaced the original engine that was once at 1,220,000 miles.

This year, "Miss Maggie May" will compete in the annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree in Walcott, IA on July 9-10, 2009. Be sure to check back in on Showuyourtruck.com's Winners Gallery to see more photos of Maggie May at the show.

Charles Gale's "Old School" Freighliner cabover has won 1st and 2nd place trophies in Pennsylvania truck shows.

Charle's Gale's "Old School" '93 Freightliner cabover features a 430/470 Detroit engine with 10 speed transmission and 390 gears. Four years ago, Charles and his friend, Jim, bought the truck to operate a business locally, but after Gale drove it around a bit, he fell in love with it and calls it his own.

Still a work in progress, Gale added a punched grill with Freightliner logos, custom visor and full stainless interior. Gale would like to credit Road Works and the Pride & Glory Chrome Shop in North Haven, CT. He'd also like to extend a special thanks to his two sons and his cabover brother, Jim.
