Meet Mercer's New Contractor Relations Advocates!
Heidi Van Tyle and Jason Schaftlein want to help solve your problems.
Meet Heidi Van Tyle and Jason Schaftlein, Mercer's new Contractor Relations team. Although we are confident that Mercertown is the best and only place to be, it's only natural to experience a few bumps in the road. Heidi and Jason want that road to be as smooth for you as possible. As Mercer's new Contractor Relations Advocates, they are willing and able to address any questions and concerns you may experience.
As advocates, their role is to bridge the gap between owner operators and Mercer employees and agents. Jason says, "Most importantly, we want our owner operators to feel comfortable communicating with their coordinators, because that is who they deal with on a daily basis. We want to focus on building and maintaining relationships between Mercer employees and our contractors."
Jason, a familiar face around Mercer, has been a coordinator for six years at Mercer. Heidi, who used to be a truck operations manager for a local flatbed company, joined Mercer last June.
Jason and Heidi strongly encourage contractors to approach problems they may have with their coordinators first. However, if someone does not feel comfortable or satisfied, Jason and Heidi are eager to address the situation.
