Tim Cole’s low-riding rig, “Back Draft”, was inspired by the fire engines of the 1940’s. Among many custom modifications, the Peterbilt was painted siren-red and the original chrome fixtures were replaced with brass. Cole, an over-the-road flatbed owner operator, says that the truck is still a work-in-progress. “Mercer has kept me busy since I leased on last October, so I haven’t had much time to work on the truck. Soon I plan to modify the trailer to match.” Cole will be showcasing “Back Draft” in the working truck division of
