Hello again from Mercertown!

As we enter May, I find myself sitting here trying to figure out what has happened to the first quarter of the year. (Where did it go?) I also find myself looking forward to my favorite part of the year. May is when we all start getting geared up for truck shows, so be sure to check out our Events Schedule to find out where your friendly neighborhood recruiting department will pop up next. We love for our owner operators to come visit us at the shows (and you already know that if you come hang out, we're gonna feed you good). We are very excited this year to get out on the road, talk to some quality owner operators and spread the word about Showusyourtruck.com. (By the way, Mercer O/O's, we need more of our trucks on the website, so send us those pics!)

Another event takes place in May that gets all of us here even more excited; The annual Top 10 Weekend. This year should be another great time as some of our top revenue earners come to Louisville to share a weekend with us. This is always a very special time for me, because it gives us all a chance to stop thinking about trucking, moving freight and recruiting and just hang out and get to know each other a little better. It is also nice to be able to give a little bit back to some of the great people who help provide the tools and professionalism that make Mercer the best owner operator company in the business. Also I would like to congratulate the coordinators that help these guys succeed. Great job, guys!!

This should prove to be another fun filled weekend as we have some great things planned. We'll be out on the Ohio River for a dinner cruise, travel to the center of the city for some bowling, billiards and general silliness, then finally wrap up the night with dinner and a show featuring a hypnotist/comedian. (We are going to try to hypnotize Shane into acting right!) I'm sure that it will be a great time for everyone.

Mercer contractors know this - you don't have to be in the Top 10 to be important to us. If you provide service to our customers and go out there day after day sacrificing so much on the road to provide for your family at home and our families here in Louisville, I thank you. It is because of each and every one of you guys that we are able to get the bills paid. (Bobby Murphy, if you are reading this, I'm sorry but they wouldn't allow me to start a new category for Top 10 Freight Dodgers).

Thanks again to all of you guys for the hard work, dedication, and professionalism. See you next month.

Brian Helton
Director of Recruiting
